sweet days of summer

blowing through the jasmine in my mind

I've been doing nothing but watching Mad Men,working on pieces, and hanging out in my pajamas..I feel like I lost a week of my life! My back finally feels better and I was able to enjoy the summer again, I can't believe it's almost over..it flew by! This halo is one of my favorite things I've ever made, and one of the first. I found a darling little dusty old hat in a thrift store years ago and while the hat had seen better days these sweet vintage jasmine blossoms were begging for a new life. That hat started my obsession with vintage millinery and was the first piece in my ever growing collection of old hats. I used the blooms to create a pretty floral wreath to adorn my head..the little flowers are thin and delicate and so very old that I don't wear it too often but when I do it's instant happiness!
I've also been listening to the oldies radio station and a lot of 60's and 70's music..can you tell?

I hope everyone is having a lovely week!

I love your whole outfit darling! The little flower headband is adorable and I really want that dress, so cute! I especially like those heeled clogs though, amazing!

Thanks for sharing your earliest piece with us! Those flowers are beautiful, and so flattering to you. Isn't it funny how your first piece is your baby, and always a favorite? It's the same for me.

I'm in love with the print on that dress.

It's divine. And the halo just tops it off
(pun slightly intended.)
