How Deep Is Your Love by The Bird and the Bee on Grooveshark

It finally stop raining long enough to visit the park where we got married, It looks just as pretty as I remember. We planned on going on our anniversary(4th!) last Friday but the weather has been crazy, love this cooler air though. I wasn't sure what to expect with this intense heat we had this summer, but almost everything was in full bloom! So many different shades of roses and pretty little flowers and herbs, the old guy who cares for this unexpected garden really loves what he does. I secretly think it's tiny garden gnomes that come out at night and do all the work, how else can you explain this perfect little gnome home and well? haha

I scored this vintage trench from a lady at a yard sale, she was telling me how she rocked it in the early 70's with her matching mary janes..I got those too! I love buying vintage from the owner. This is about as bright as my clothes go. I prefer a lot of muted shades but I love certain candy colors too.

I couldn't believe all the action in the gardens, so many bees and butterflies! We even spotted a hummingbird. I always get excited when I see those little guys, like magical little fairies.

"Where it all went down" as Luke put it when we were walking up. When I was planning our wedding I knew I wanted it to be outside..this perfect place only cost about 50 bucks to reserve, sweet!

We also picked up something special on the way home, more on that later! There's a storm rolling in and I'm watching Dinosaurs(!!) on netflix..I may or may not be living my childhood fantasy right now haha

Happy Friday!

my moon, my man

Luke and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary over the weekend!

Two drifters, off to see the world
There’s such a lot of world to see
We’re after that same rainbow’s end, waitin’ ’round the bend
My huckleberry friend, moon river, and me

string quartet-chasing cars

This is what I walked down the aisle to! Snow patrol's chasing cars is one of our songs.. so excited to have stumbled upon this perfect version when planning the ceremony music. I had a long walk through the garden so I planned an epic intro haha Audrey Hepburn's "Moon river," followed by the strings. I would still do the same thing today.

Our late summer wedding was at sunset in a pretty little gazebo at our favorite flower garden/park. I was hoping to snap some photos there this weekend but it rained.
We ended up staying in and ordering pizza and watching netflix..it's kind of our thing.

It's tradition to get dressed up in our wedding colors, this dress is one of my all time favorite shades- peachy pink!
(my wedding flowers were cream carnations, baby's breath and the most perfect pale caramel/peach sahara roses..and some ivy I grew)
My astronomy loving man, light of my life. He got some new sky related goodies.

I wear my late grandma Nola's wedding ring set from the summer of 1960, and her preferred polish color..anything really dark.

Have a lovely Tuesday!

Happy Anniversary!

3 years ago Luke and I were married at sunset in a lovely garden, it feels like forever ago and yesterday! We've been together just a little over 5 years and I don't know how it's possible but I love him more everyday. He's my best friend of all time and I can't imagine spending my life without him. We can do every thing or nothing and have fun as long as we're together, he just makes it all worth it for me. I feel like we've grown up together and I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together..whatever may come. He's helped make my dreams come true!

For our anniversary we took some fun photos to remember the day! I talked him into wearing the silly vintage velvet bow tie that we had thrifted for Copper to wear in the wedding haha! He was still a pup at the time and was way too stubborn and energetic to walk down the aisle! I recreated my wedding day makeup look and wore my handmade vintage blossom crown that I adore. I had added a few of these same flowers to my wedding birdcage veil I created and it makes me think of that beautiful day every time I see it! Hooray for love!

copper adores him..i think he's his favorite haha!
