candied gams

I hope everyone had a great day! Luke and I ate way too much and spent the day with our families. We started at my parents and I helped with the cooking a bit by making one of my favorite holiday dishes, candied yams. My grandma Betty used to make them every year and it's so nice to carry on certain traditions.

I've been living in rust, the perfect color for Fall. I can't believe it's almost December, time has been flying by!

I picked up this dress at f21..I couldn't resist the nude lace/rust collar!

Amelia Bedelia(my parents' sweet kitty)

Our next stop was Luke's house for even more amazing food, his dad makes the best stuffing! I love catching up with everyone and slowing down for a bit, it's all about food and family.

Jack
Colby..she's one of the prettiest dogs, those eyes!

Do you have a favorite holiday food?

So glad to hear that you had a lovely Thanksgiving. I have to admit that candied yams are one of my favorite dishes. I also love mashed potatoes and mac and cheese.
XOXO

That first pic on the railroadtrack made me think of Omalley in Aristocats. The rusty colours and all

great photos as ever Krystle
I saw this quote on SANTA FE DAILY PHOTO
'Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when
they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them
come back again - Henri Cartier-Bresson'
made me think of your photos and how you have these perfect snaphots
of time + the seasons

love the pic with the hazy sun - you are evoking old style
movie glamour for sure!

that pic with Kellen in is amazing - the colours and trees and
late afternoon sun ... I just want to live in that picture!!
think it's gonna be my screenseaver!! - need to be seeing that
when the trees are bare and it's freezing cold!!!
