I usually dread dressing for summer..I feel exposed and miss the comfort of my layers. I've always thought people are best suited for the seasons in which they're born, I'm a winter baby through and through. Give me some warm socks and boots,cozy sweaters and coats. Oh how I love coats! Fall is my favorite, I'm not keen on extreme temps. Summer leaves me with few options I'm comfortable in, I miss tights and cardigans. It also has a way of sweating me out of my body hang ups, it's just too hot to care! Most probably stem from my childhood angst and school meanies-more on that later. Long story short..we lived on the outskirts of town(east st. louis), kind of in the country.

Life is a bit more enjoyable when you're not obsessing about what you're wearing and how you look in it. I swear this dress was made for me. It's one of my favorite pieces in my warm weather wardrobe. The perfect vintage shirtdress in a lightweight cotton, and longer sleeves! I just love those.

This fall-like weather around here..amazing. I don't know what it is but I feel like I'm much more productive when it's not 100 out..windows open, listening to my summer sounds and doin' work on the house. Here's to getting stuff done!
